PANTOMIMUS TRAINING SESSION

Saturday 9th October – Bath – All day

Training day in Early Years music activity using the Pantomimus approach as pioneered and developed at Berkshire Maestros, Music Hub for Berkshire. Colleagues from Bath and North East Somerset Music Service will work with Peter and Margareta for the day.

WOKINGHAM & READING READING PRIMARY NQT CONFERENCE

Thursday 15th October – Wokingham – 1.30-4.15

An afternoon to inspire and encourage newly-qualified teachers to encourage quality music-making with children from Reception to Year 6. Practical work will include singing and musical games, basic instrumental work – all presented to encourage the inexperienced and ‘terrified’ new teacher for whom music might not be their thing.

 

VOICEWORKS TOUR OF CANADA

OCTOBER 21st to NOVEMBER 8th

Peter is undertaking an extensive tour of Canada to share his wealth of experience as a teacher, choir trainer and author and series editor of the acclaimed Voiceworks series of singing handbooks, published by OUP. He will deliver a range of sessions and workshops to teachers at four major conferences and repertoire workshops.

Session titles:

  • Creative Kindergarten - Engaging children aged 3 – 7
  • Young Voices to Youth choirs - Exploring repertoire for ages 9-18 years
  • Singing outside the box - Community choirs and the inexperienced singers
  • Voiceworks - Exploring the range of books in the series and the vocal approach

JUNIOR MUSIC FESTIVAL – THE HEXAGON, READING

YOU CAN’T STOP THE BEAT!

November 24 & 26 at 7.00

Over 2 nights 1000 young children from 32 Reading and district primary schools will join forces with Berkshire Maestros teachers and senior students to put on a spectacular performance of songs from Screen & Stage.
